2023 Bucket List

After a successful bucket list in 2022, we're moving into 2023 with bigger and better plans. Stay tuned to see how we're going to top our bucket list from last year! Visit new parts of Canada together

Last year, we went to a few places that Jason has never been to - namely the Maritimes (PEI, New Brunswick), Driftwood Provincial Park and more. We also went to the Lakepointe Resort on Golden Lake, a region that was new for the two of us. We are currently planning our vacation in June and are excited to visit and experience a new part of Ontario for the two of us! Attend a professional sports event together ✅

After being together for three years, we have never gone to a professional sports game together (only university level events!). This year, we are hoping to watch the Toronto Raptors play and possibly go to an Ottawa Senators game as well! Try some new restaraunts This was taken from last year's bucket list. We went to at least five new restaraunts last year (The Vault, Banditos, Level One, Giovanni's, Rio Tap & Grill - this was in Eganville while visiting Lakepointe Resort) and had great experiences at each of them. I feel as though this is something that should be repeated because there are so many restaraunts out there and that's how you find new favourites - trying more. We want to try at least three more, but the more the better! If there are any suggestions in Ottawa, please feel free to let us know! Complete a race ✅ This was something on our bucket list last year (specifically a 5 km race), that we didn't get to. This year, we're going to start searching for races earlier on and plan a few months in advance to ensure that we can complete one, whether it's 2 km, 5 km, 10 km or more! Start posting videos This is something that we initially planned on doing when we first started this blog, however, we never got to filming them! This year, we want to start making different videos, ones to supplement our blog posts, and also videos just updating everybody about what's going on in our lives at the moment when creating blog posts can be time consuming. Pick fruits

Yet another thing we didn't get to last year, picking strawberries, we hope to get to this year. I am, however, broadening it to fruits, so if we don't get to pick strawberries, we can pick apples or another fruit. This is something we've never done together and hope to get done this year.

2023 Tulip Festival ✅ Something we've done for the last three years, the Tulip Festival, is back on our bucket list to make sure it remains something we do every year. Skate on the Canal

Since 2020, Caitlyn and I have enjoyed skating together on outdoor rinks, having gone only once to the canal (in 2021). This is something we wish to do a few more times this winter, hopefully skating on a day where it doesn't feel like -40 (as it did last time).

Go Roller Blading

This year a new roller rink called 4 Wheelies is opening up in Ottawa in the Pinecrest area. We have been really wanting to try this! It's set to open up in May 2023 so this can be something we do in the spring. These are some of the things we wish to get done this year. As the months go on, we may add things to this if they come to mind or if any suggestions are made by you guys!
